Offering a variety of cultural workshops, Fundatia Calea Victoriei started its collaboration with the BSB in September 2010.
Children of all ages have now easy access to information regarding the Romanian arts & crafts that help develop their cultural image of the past and present Romania.

Concept
Reaching the free expression of my personality in course of real life situations .
Objectives
- freedom of speech
- learning through my own experience
- self confidence: following my imagination
- impersonating my favorite character
- creating a story of a character in a real life situation.
Manifestations
The children are guided to manage and create real life situations by using their own experience.The process happens in front of a camera! Therefore the children are facing one more reason of timidity and fear. Everybody is seeing what they are imagining, playing or formulating. Facing the fear to be seen as they are managing real life situations, the children are learning to be self confident, and to express their feelings without harming or insulting anyone. After six weeks of exercising as a team, the students will be examined.
The final test will be a movie scene imagined by them, in which The Camera Tells the Story!
Levels:
Beginners : age groups : 6-10, 10-14 yrs

Workshops for children

The papier mache technique is a method of creating tri-dimensional objects using as the main material the paper.
The course will include:
- Abilities of using and working with different objects
- Developing the tridimensional perception
- Introduction to various do-it-yourself techniques
- Developing creativity and the will to create
You will be given the opportunity to begin the development of individual projects on five different objects that will be the theme of a puppet-show at the end of the workshop.

Throughout the Painting and creativity workshop the students will understand the esential elements that an artist needs when he creates art either by painting or by drawing objects. In five weeks the participants will be a part of the creative process that has as main target the finite object.
The course will include:
- Main painting techniques
- Introduction to various kits of creation
- Brief description of the light/shadow effects
- Composition and structure in a painting
You will be given the opportunity to begin the development of individual projects from a given theme.

This course offers you the opportunity to learn how to professionally make accessories.
The course will include:
- Overview of the tools and the correct method of use
- Introduction to different styles of design
- Pattern cutting and introduction to design development
- Creating 3D mock-ups
- Closures and zips
- Quality and grades of materials used
You will be given the opportunity to begin the development of individual projects from design through to construction.
